Every time we tell people our story of how we met, the usual reaction is, "And you're still together?!" See, I'm a NorCal girl through and through, I bleed black and orange for my San Francisco Giants. Mike on the other hand, was born and raised in sunny SoCal, so I'm sure you know where I'm going with this...yes, he's a die-hard Dodgers fan. 

 

It was July 2012 and I was working at a radio station that was co-sponsoring a country music festival in Northern California. Mike was living in Southern California, but was traveling the West Coast as an event coordinator and driver of the MillerCoors Party Bus for major special events. Of course we all know country music and beer go together, so it was a no brainer that the bus had to come party at the festival. As fate would have it, both of our work's booths were stationed right next to each other. It was only a matter of time before we realized living at opposite ends of the state wasn't going to work for either of us. So I packed up my stuff and headed south, rocking my SF Giants gear the entire way down.

 

About a year into our relationship, Mike's childhood friend, Luke, introduced him to the Herbalife24 products since Mike was working out consistently, and had been using MuscleMilk as his protein drink post workouts. Mike liked it and started talking to me about getting involved with the Herbalife business. I immediately wasn't interested. I was already working full time and didn't want to put in any extra energy into a product I thought for sure was just another scam to get people interested in the whole "healthy lifestyle" spiel. Mike continued to use the rest of his canister and then that was the last I had heard of the Herbalife conversation. Or so I thought.

 

Fast forward a year and a half...In January 2015, Luke contacted me looking for help to design a website for his personal training and Herbalife Independent Distributor business. During our first meeting about the website we talked about Mike's brief use of the Herbalife24 and how I just couldn't understand why everyone was raving about another health shake. I personally, am not and have never been, a super hardcore health nut or "gym rat" as some say. Yes, I used to be an athlete, but working out and eating clean has never been my forte. See, I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and eating regularly and keeping up with exercise has always been kind of an issue for me, especially when I travel. So as I'm sure you're starting to realize, I didn't have the healthiest body.

 

It was out of pure curiosity that I decided to go ahead and give the Herbalife 3-Day Trial a test run. I didn't do it to see how much weight I would lose, or inches I would drop. I did it because I wanted to see if it would make me feel healthier. I will never forget waking up on day 2 of my trial. I just couldn't believe how great I was feeling. I used to wake up feeling anxious and not hungry, it would take me hours to get even the tiniest bit of food down. I was so surprised that I had woken up feeling calm, but energized and hungry enough to want my shake! 

 

I couldn't get over how excited I was about how I was feeling after completing my 3-Day Trial. Needless to say I knew immediately I was going to be purchasing Herbalife on the regular. After discussing the membership fees versus our monthly grocery bills, Mike and I ultimately made the decision to change our lifestyle. We realized how much money we were constantly wasting on crap food. We were always eating out and the food we were buying at the grocery store was more processed than we knew what to do with! Not to mention we had finally started to realize how much our diets and lack of exercise were actually effecting my anxiety.

 

After just a few months of being on Herbalife, I still can't believe how much change I've personally seen in both Mike and myself. I laugh when I think about us at the grocery store now versus before we used Herbalife. Our cart used to consist of things like Captain Crunch, soda, Pop-Tarts, etc. Now a trip to the store includes eggs, almonds, crackers, fruit, etc. I drink more water now than ever before, and I even find myself wanting to exercise more often. 

 

I don't tell people our story to sell them on Herbalife. I tell it so people can draw their own conclusions, and make their own decisions to test the 3-Day Trial. Since joining the Herbalife Family, family members from both sides of mine and Mike's have personally seen our lifestyle change, and have made the decision to join us. Some are doing it for the weight-loss factors, some are doing it to enhance their daily workout routines, and others like myself, are doing it to get the nutrition they've been lacking. No matter what their reasonings are, we're just so excited to see them get healthy with us. Are you ready to make the change?
